Here is our easy, four-step process:

  

Step 1 - First Appointment

 

One of our Franchise Consultants will contact you to set up an appointment to discuss your goals in finding the right franchise for you.   This appointment will take less than an hour and can be accomplished over the phone.  Understanding your particular goals and needs will allow us to develop your business profile which we then use to find the best opportunity for you.  We will set a follow up an appointment to present you with opportunities that match your requirements.

 

Step 2 - Research

 

Your Franchise Consultant takes the information provided by you in your business profile, and does extensive research to find franchises that best match your stated goals and needs.  We will only present opportunites that are available in the location where you want to start your business.

 

There are over 5,000 franchises out in the market place!  Our goal is to focus your search by identifying the best 3-4 franchises that match your requirements.

 

Step 3 - Presentation

 

During your follow up appointment, your Franchise Consultant will present you with the opportunities that we have identified in our research.  This meeting should accomplish two goals.  

  1. Identify those franchises that you would like to investigate further. Part of your introduction to these Franchisors usually includes the completion of their confidential questionnaire. Supplying this information does not obligate you in any way to the Franchisor.  It simply demonstrates to the Franchisor that when you find the right opportunity then you are capable of buying it.
  2. Clarify the goals and needs identified in your business profile. Refining your criteria is an ongoing process throughout the time you work with your Franchise Consultant

Step 4 - Introduction to Franchisor

 

Your Franchise Consultant will introduce you directly to the point person at each Franchise that you have expressed interest in. The Franchisor will immediately send materials to help you become acquainted with their franchise.  They will also send the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC), which is a disclosure document for their franchise opportunity.  The UFOC receipt should be signed and returned immediately.

 

Once these steps are completed, we'll guide you through the remainder of your decision-making process.

  • UFOC Review: We will discuss the items that are contained in an UFOC (Uniform Franchise Offering Circular), and point out those that you should pay particular attention to.  We will suggest that you review the UFOC in detail, and write down any questions or concerns for discussion with the Franchisor. The UFOC will contain a list of Franchisees and contact information
  • Calling Franchisees: The Franchisor should provide you a list of several Franchisees for you to call to ask questions about the franchise.  You should call these and other Franchisees to ask them about their specific experiences with the business and what have been the drivers to their success. Your Franchise Consultant will help you determine some key questions to ask!  
  • Consultation with Attorney and Accountant: You should always consult with an attorney and an accountant before making a decision.  It is important to insure that both people have a good background in franchising.  If they don't, then the process may cost you more that you needed to pay while they do their research. 
  • Attend a Discovery Day: Most Franchisors have a Discovery Day, where they will invite you to their location.  You will not only get information that will be crucial for your decision, but will also spend time with the staff that will be providing your initial training and continuing support.
  • Decision Time:  Once you have taken all of the necessary steps, you are now equipped to make a sound, informed decision about which franchise to buy.  Congratulations on your choice!
